Hi there again, its been very busy these last few weeks and I will tell you why. Heather's middle aged gap year has turned into semi retirement. She now enjoys pottering about in her garden and is slightly addicted to fabric. She has combined these two hobbies into a small craft business The Sparkle Gift Company.
Her latest idea is to make fairy and gnome fabric seed bags. Dave from Kelpie handmade gifts is going to sell them on his stall at Lomond Shores.
As I mostly stay at Garnetbank School , Claire at Fairytastique has drawn a very cute picture of me, so I have been out and about looking at cornflowers in Scotland. My fabric seed bag is going to be a cornflower seed bag. This is good as cornflowers are easy to grow and attract bees and butterflies into the garden.
The first outing for the seed bags will be at The Helensburgh and Lomond Artisans Craft Fair in Helensburgh on October 3rd.
Soon there will be more gnomes joining my gang with more easy to grow seeds which are great for bees and butterflies.

You might be wondering what has happened to Delilah and me in the last five years. Once the children from the Garden club left to go to secondary school we carried on for a few years with some new Primary 6 and 7 pupils. We even won a competition and Chris Collins came to help us with the garden.
Then Heather who runs the club decided to have a middle aged gap year so Mrs T took over for a little while. Mrs T is a very busy teacher and it is quite hard working looking after the garden as well, she did do lots of good work with her class so the garden was still looking good.
Last year the school needed a new roof and the garden area was used to store all the workers equipment and they were not really gardeners so things did get a wee bit damaged but all is looking fine again now.
Delilah and I are keeping safe somewhere in the school till all the work is finished which could be another few months or so yet.

It has been a while since I last wrote and should maybe mention our trip to Gardening Scotland in 2010! We had a lovely few days in Edinburgh, it was sunny weather most of the time and we met some interesting people.
With the children from Garnetbank Garden Club and Mrs Thompson we decided we should make our pallet garden the scene of our wedding day. (That is my wedding to Delilah!).
It all looked lovely when it was finished and we even had a very small wedding cake, thank you Mrs Thompson.
We won a bronze certificate in the pallet garden competition which we were very excited about and took our lovely certificate back to Glasgow to show all our friends at Assembly at Garnetbank.
Here are some of our photos of the lovely day that we had.

Almost show time!
Delilah and I are getting very excited about our trip to Gardening Scotland next week with our friends from the Garden club.
So far it has been a bit cold and we don't have many colourful plants, our garden is called Tam and Delilah's colourful garden, so hopefully this warm spell will help the flowers to grow and bloom.
we have been mentioned in the Evening Times and The Herald which is quiet exciting,we may need our own press officer soon!
We are both going to get cleaned up for the competiton and can be found in the Pallet Garden section of Gardening Scotland.
Hope to see you there,
Tam and Delilah

Read all about us in the Sunday Post
How exciting, I was eating my toast this morning when Delilah came in with the Sunday Post. A lovely lady called Agnes has written a great article about the garden club and our visit to Gardening Scotland. Delilah and I both got a mention which is very exciting. We all look great in the photo, now we will all have to get busy growing plants to take to Gardening Scotland!

I'M IN THE PAPER!!!!
last week, on tuesday at garden club, Emma and Talitha were trying to build something that had come in the post for the garden club. But it had come with NOOO instructions!!!!!!!!! So i decided i would help them, and together we managed to put it altogether!!!! But it still didnt work, it was supposed to light up the plants, But the lights didnt work and Heather said we shouldn't drill holes into the lights because that would be dangerous!!!!!
On Thursday, a professional photographer came to take pictures of Delilah(my best friend), Talitha, Matthias, Emma,Neil and MEEE of course!!!! and the light grower thingy, which we still hadn't got working, but the photographer just turned the light a bit and it worked!!!!!!! it was BRILLIANT!!!!!! So now the garden club has a grow lighty thing, which has growing plants in it and all of us are going to be in the sunday post soon.
Delilah says i have to get off the computer now so BYE!!!!
